Be good to yourself - Celebrating Women’s Heart Health month
Friday, February 15, 2013
Hi, I'm Kiran Pandey, MD, Cardiologist with HealthPartners and Hudson Hospital Specialty Clinics.
Welcome to my blog!
Did you know? Heart disease kills more women than all cancers combined.
What can women do?
Women can make very simple changes in their diet and lifestyle. This includes commitment to a nutritious diet consisting of:
- unprocessed food
- vegetables
- fruit
Remember, natural food does not have a shelf life of years!
Also, if you have time to eat, you will have to find some time for exercise. Short bursts of exercise are as good as long stretches. It is indeed hard for women to find time for themselves between all the commitments to their family and work but remember, your friends and family would love to see a healthy you now and in the future.
Be good to yourself - today is the day when you start...
