Free Car Seat Checkup Event is planned Tuesday, September 18, 4 - 7 p.m. at the Hudson Fire Department (222 Walnut Street, Hudson, WI).
Registration required for 30-minute appointments. Call 715-531-6543 to register.
Nine out of 10 child car seats are installed or used incorrectly posing a threat to your child’s safety in the event of a car accident. Attend this car seat checkup event sponsored by Northwest Wisconsin Regional Trauma Advisory Council, Regions Hospital and Hudson Hospital Emergency Center.
During this free event, certified child passenger safety technicians will evaluate your car seats for defects, recalls, suitability for the age and size of the child, and fit with the safety belt system in your vehicle. Certified car seat technicians will teach parent or caregiver how to install and use child car restraints correctly. Parents and caregivers are asked to bring the car seat and the child who uses the seat to achieve the best possible fit.
We also partner with Safe Kids Worldwide - a nonprofit organization working to help families and communities keep kids safe from injuries. Learn more at www.safekids.org.
*Please bring with you: car seat or booster, car seat manual, vehicle manual, child that will use the seat, and plan on 30 minutes per seat, per vehicle.
