Hi, I'm Erika Schendel, manager, Social Services with Hudson Hospital & Clinic. Welcome to my blog!
National Healthcare Decisions Day is April 16 – Free health event planned at Hudson Hospital & Clinic, from 12:30-1:30 p.m. in the conference center.
Hudson Hospital & Clinic, along with other national, state and community organizations, are leading a massive effort to highlight the importance of advance healthcare decision-making – an effort that has culminated in the formal designation of April 16 as National Healthcare Decisions Day (NHDD). As a participating organization, Hudson Hospital & Clinic is providing information and tools for the public to talk about their wishes with family, friends and healthcare providers, and execute written advance directives (healthcare power of attorney and living will) in accordance with Wisconsin and Minnesota State laws.
Do you have an Advance Directive? Plan to attend this free health event on Wednesday, April 16 at Hudson Hospital & Clinic to learn more. The hospital social workers are welcoming staff and the community to stop by to receive free information about advance care planning and advance directive forms. Staff will be available to answer questions and assist persons in completing their forms.
