A Gift Today Lasts a Lifetime
Hi, I'm Kari Rambo, president, Hudson Hospital Foundation.
This is the first blog in a series highlighting giving opportunities and how our employees have made a difference in 2014 in support of our mission to improve health and well-being in partnership with our members, patients and community.
Did you know - Giving has been linked to better well-being, sleep, mental health and increased immune health? Sometimes life experiences inspire us to make donations to lighten the burden of others or to show support for a program we know greatly benefits our community. Hudson Hospital Foundation offers many funding options to meet individual and family giving desires. Your generous support provides opportunities for compassionate care, state-of-the-art technology, training and education.
Each year Hudson Hospital Foundation partners with several organizations to improve health care locally. In 2014, the Foundation raised $400,000 to support health-related projects and granted over $100,000 in community grants to Big Brothers Big Sisters – Mentors in Motion, PowerUp – Hudson, Cancer Center of Western Wisconsin – Little Blessings Program, as well as a grant to implement a telemedicine program for Hudson, Westfields, and Amery.
In fact, our campus employees contributed over $26,000 to the Hudson Hospital Foundation for program development, education, and endowment. We are proud to have generous donors who believe in investing back into the organization to make good happen.
Watch for my next blog highlighting employee donations to the Foundation funds. These funds include: Pediatric Care, Good Samaritan, Emergency Care, Heart Care, Employee Emergency, Cancer Care, Programs for Change and Healing Arts Fund.
