March is National Professional Social Work Month!
Hi, I'm Erika Schendel, manager, Social Services with Hudson Hospital & Clinic. Welcome to my blog!
This year’s theme is “Social Work Paves the Way for Change” emphasizing the commitment of the profession to bring about positive social change and improve the lives of individuals and families. Social workers across the globe believe that all people have dignity and deserve respect. This year marks a special year for the social work community.
The nation will commemorate National Social Work Month in March and the National Association of Social Workers will celebrate its 60th anniversary in 2015.
At Hudson Hospital & Clinic, the social work team strives to help patients and their families function better in their environments. They know how daunting and immobilizing life’s tragedies and obstacles can be. Sometimes, all it takes to help people get on the right path is guidance toward what is possible.
The hospital social workers are available to assist patients, families, staff and the community. Learn more about our Social Work services at Hudson Hospital & Clinic including Health Care Directives.
