Tai Chi Basics
Tai Chi Basics
During this class series, participants will learn Tai Chi Fundamental form in addition to practicing twelve movement patterns of proper body positions and breathing. Tai Chi Fundamentals Form adapts movements and principles of traditional Yang Style Tai Chi Ch'uan into a practice routine accessible to a wide range of abilities. It focuses on critical elements which enhance balance, coordination, strength and endurance. The form adaptation eliminates some of the more difficult martial arts movements, and allows you to focus on exercise meaningful to your daily life. Sessions are offered several times per week, with class groups that can be customized for beginners and advanced participants.
Be sure to ask about class series designed for specific populations, such as cancer survivors, individuals with Parkinson’s disease, diabetes, stroke survivors and other chronic disorders.
