Foundation Golf Event – A Successful Fundraiser
Hudson Hospital Foundation hosted the Al Hein Memorial Golf Tournament on Monday, June 8. Despite the cold and rain, all golfers had a great day of camaraderie and fun.
Golf team participant Variety Office, led by Craig Gibson who is also a foundation board of directors member, snagged the afternoon tournament championship away from the defending M&I Bank team, also led by fellow foundation board of directors member, Rich O’Connor, with a two shot difference. The morning flight tournament winners were team Insty Meds, a hospital vendor. Congratulations to all winners and much appreciation to all participants.
Each year, teams also compete in the Industry Challenge Competition where winners have the Al Hein Trophy bragging rights include: legal, McCormick Law Firm; medical, Regions Hospital; finance, M&I Bank; sales & retail, Variety Office; construction, real estate & development, New Mech Companies.
The Grand Raffle had three outstanding prizes and raised over $5,000. Thanks to all employees, board members and volunteers who sold & purchased tickets – the foundation couldn’t have done it without you. The winners of the Grand Raffle were: first prize, Vacation of Your Dreams, Mike Lenzen of Hudson; second prize, Christmas Brunch and Beauty & the Beast Tickets for four at the Ordway, Josie Muntifering of White Bear Lake; third prize, Afton House Fireworks Dinner Cruise for six, Dolf Schmidt, North Hudson Elementary Principal.
The Al Hein Golf Committee would like to thank all the sponsors, golfers, volunteers & raffle sellers for all their support this year. Congratulations to Kim Kiel, Hudson Hospital & Clinics employee, who won $100 in Chamber Bucks for the Grand Raffle selling incentive and the employee team in the Business Office who won the department Grand Raffle selling incentive pizza party.
