About Hudson Hospital Foundation

The Hudson Hospital Foundation is a local non-profit organization which has served our community for over 25 years by raising funds to support the Hudson Hospital & Clinics, as well as other community health related projects. A few of the projects are: Lifeline units (see Lifeline Program on this page), diagnostic radiography and surgical equipment, two handicap-equipped vans to transport patients to and from the Health Campus. The Foundation also sponsors two annual $2,000 two-year scholarships to two Hudson High School senior students who will be focusing on health care careers in college. In the past quarter century, over $1,200,000 has been donated and used to the benefit of our community.
Over the years, many individuals, corporations, foundations and organizations have given gifts to the Hudson Hospital Foundation. Their generous support provides opportunities for compassionate care, cutting-edge technology and training of the best
health professionals.

Mission
"Caring for the Health of Our Community." The Hudson Hospital Foundation supports Hudson Hospital & Clinics health care programs and other services which address the mind, body and spirit of patients and their families.
We value our donors, whose gifts allow us to support important innovations in health care.
Contributions
Please consider a generous gift – it will help to secure improved health care for our entire community for many decades to come.
Cash: The most common ways of contributing include cash, check, or credit card donations
Stock: Gifts of appreciated securities may offer you substantial tax advantages
Life Insurance and tangible Personal Property (Real Estate)
Sponsorship opportunities are available for the annual Al Hein Hudson Health Foundation golf tournament, and the Annual Style Show which supports the hospital's oncology programs.
Planned Giving: Involves the gifting of one's assets (rather than current income) and, in most cases, involves the counsel of a financial planner and/or an estate attorney. Such gifts include will provisions, life insurance, charitable remainder trusts, charitable Lead trusts, and gifts of appreciated assets such as real estate (farms and homes). Planned gifts may help avoid or minimize capital gains, estate or other taxes.
Matching Gifts: Many employers offer their employees and retirees an opportunity to have their donations matched dollar for dollar. Check with your employer to see if your gift can be matched. It's a great way to make your gift go further.
Giving Opportunities
- Hudson Hospital Foundation Endowment Fund
The endowment fund is a special fund in which the assets are held and invested by the Hudson Hospital Foundation for the benefit of the Hudson Hospital & Clinics and its programs. Only the income earned by the fund is used, while the principal remains invested to generate future income, thereby assuring a predictable source of funds for years to come. If the gift exceeds $50,000, a named endowment fund may be established. This gift can celebrate an event, such as a personal milestone, or to honor a loved one.

Sponsored Programs
- Heart2Heart
Program is a community-wide approach to save lives together – to increase and improve awareness, access to, and use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) and CPR training in heart-related emergencies. The program’s goal is to build confidence and empower bystanders to respond.
Community classes offered as part of the Heart2Heart program include: Heartsaver® CPR & AED, Heartsaver® CPR in Schools, and Family and Friends® Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
Heart2Heart is collaboration between Hudson Hospital & Clinics, Hudson Hospital Foundation, and St. Croix EMS & Rescue. A generous grant provided by the Rural Hospital Flexibility Program through the Wisconsin Office of Rural Health for 2009 enables the program to broaden its training program, offer reduced-fee training for community members and provide widespread training for students.
- Hudson Hospital Foundation is proud to award two $1,000 scholarships for two years to two Hudson High School seniors. Our purpose is to encourage students to pursue a career in the health care field. For more information and a scholarship application, please contact the Hudson High School Counseling Office.
