Pediatric Chemotherapy & Infusion Center
The Pediatric Chemotherapy and Infusion Center at Hudson Hospital & Clinic provides patients infusion therapy in a healing environment closer to home. In partnership with Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota, pediatric patients from western Wisconsin and eastern Minnesota needing infusion treatments now have convenient local access to care at the Pediatric Chemotherapy and Infusion Center at Hudson Hospital & Clinic.
- Care is provided by a consistent team of hematology/oncology specialists and trained nurses and pediatricians. The clinic has also partnered with Hudson Physicians Pediatricians to provide seamless care at the Hudson campus.
- Pediatric patients are seen under the direction of Yoav Messinger, MD, hematologist/oncologist, Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota who sees cancers and blood disorders at the Pediatric Chemotherapy and Infusion Center at Hudson Hospital & Clinic.
- Pediatrician’s Dr. Kari Campbell and Dr. Elizabeth Schertz, Hudson Physicians are also seeing pediatric patients here.
- Services available at the Pediatric Chemotherapy and Infusion Center at Hudson Hospital & Clinic include: consultation with subspecialist, Yoav Messinger, MD; treatment per Children’s Hospital and Clinics protocols ; administration of select chemotherapy and blood products; monitoring for side effects and complications from chemotherapy; and lab and radiology services as needed. All care is directed by Children’s providers using Children’s protocols. While Dr. Messinger will provide consults for blood disorders at Hudson, all new cancer patients will continue to be seen by Children’s cancer and blood disorder physicians in Minneapolis.
