Waterbirth Option
Hudson Hospital & Clinics can provide a waterbirth experience for expectant, low-risk mothers. For this option, a birthing tub is situated in a fully equipped hospital labor and delivery room. Some women achieve a deeper level of relaxation with this environment for their labor and delivery.
During Your Delivery
When it’s time for the delivery of your baby, the experience begins with an orientation for you and your family in your room. A nurse will review everything, from your delivery plan to our room service menu. Care is also given to those supporting you during this exciting time. Our facility provides a number of comfortable areas for your family and friends.
Access to the Highest Level of Care
During labor and delivery, expectant moms stay in one room, where our care giving team will make the delivery experience as safe and comfortable as possible. Thanks to our qualified staff and cutting-edge technology, Hudson Hospital & Clinics is equipped to handle the vast majority of births right here at our facility. We also have immediate access to two nearby Level 3 nurseries when the rare situation arises that requires specialized care.
Your Choices
Starting with your prenatal care, you and your physician will develop a personalized care plan for delivery. Whether it’s your choice of music and planning who you’d like present during your very special delivery, or what medications and other comforts you prefer, our team prides itself on making your choice the first choice whenever possible.
Nurturing Environment
Because bonding with your new baby is so important, we’ve created an environment that helps keep mom and baby together, including in the recovery rooms. (Of course, our nursery is always open if mom wants to catch some much-needed sleep!)
During your stay, a lactation counselor and dietitian will make a visit. Before leaving, you’ll receive helpful educational information, and surprise keepsake gifts from our staff.
Even After You’ve Left, We’re by Your Side
Once you’ve taken your baby home, Hudson Hospital & Clinics is still a valuable partner for you and your family. Immediately following your discharge, you’ll receive one free home visit from a caregiver and a follow-up call from our staff. To help you and your child develop and maintain a healthy lifestyle, we offer a number of educational and social opportunities you’ll find beneficial as you grow together.
Parent and Child Education
Our Health Resource Center provides the latest in health literature, educational opportunities and support groups. A welcoming, calm environment with quiet reading spaces are inviting features. The Health Resource Center strives to provide easily accessible information for new and expectant mothers and their families.
