Hudson Hospital Foundation offers many specific funding options to meet individual and family giving desires. Please thoughtfully consider a generous gift - it will help improve health care for our entire community for many decades to come.
Hudson Hospital Foundation supports many excellent programs and exceptional services at Hudson Hospital & Clinics. We welcome you to join this important work through any of the following giving opportunities.
Annual Giving
The annual fund drive supports clinical and health care support programs of Hudson Hospital & Clinics. With the support of residents, employees and business leaders, Hudson Hospital & Clinics has continued to grow in distinction. Matching gifts from employers are also accepted and welcomed - check with Human Resources or Community Relations staff at your corporate for details.
Areas of medical support
Birth Center Fund - This program was established by the department physicians, employees, and community members. Funds will be used for equipment, education and upgraded services.
Breast cancer - This program supports patient education, equipment, resources and outreach events.
Cancer care - This program supports patient education, support groups, equipment, or infusion operating costs.
Cardiac rehabilitation - This program supports program operations, patient education, support groups and equipment purchases.
Heart disease - This program supports patient education, support groups, resources and program operations.
Areas of general support
The Board-designated endowments are special perpetual fund in which the assets are held and invested by the Hudson Hospital Foundation for the future benefit of the Hudson Hospital & Clinics and its programs. The intent is to maintain the principal balance and utilize the interest income for operating and/or program support.
Board Designated Endowment Fund
Board Designated Healing Arts Endowment Fund - As of spring 2012, all gifts made to the healing arts endowment will be matched dollar for dollar up to $50,000.
Unrestricted - gifts to this general fund will be distributed as needed.
Areas of program support
Healing Arts Fund - Community members and employees donate to the Healing Arts fund for purchasing original art pieces, capital equipment, and supporting the healing arts philosophy and comprehensive program.
CPR & First Aid Program (Public Defibrillator Fund) - This program is a community-wide approach to save lives together. Donations increase and improve awareness, access to, and use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) and CPR training in heart-related emergencies for the community.
Hudson Hospital & Clinics Nurses Education Fund - Donations support continuing education, redit reimbursement or seminar fees for nurses.
Hudson Hospital Foundation college education scholarship - Over $16,000 in college scholarships have been awarded over the years to Hudson High School seniors. Recipients demonstrate interest in health-related careers. Click here for the scholarship form.
Ruth Lund Memorial Scholarship - This program, established by the Lund family, grants scholarships to nurses for education and professional development.
Hudson Hospital & Clinics Employee Emergency Fund - Employees experiencing a medical emergency or crisis can apply for grants up to $500. Donations replenish the fund.
LifeAssist USA® Home Monitoring Fund - Contributions will allow subscribers with limited financial resources to access our home monitoring services at a reduced fee. Learn more about LifeAssist USA.
Planned & Major Giving
This option involves the gifting of one's assets (rather than current income) and, in most cases, involves the counsel of a financial planner and/or an estate attorney. Such gifts include wil provisions, life insurance, charitable remainder trusts, charitable Lead trusts, and gifts of appreciated asset, such as real estate (farms and homes) or stock. Planned gifts may help avoid or minimize capital gains, estate or other taxes. Gifts of appreciated securities may offer you substantial tax advantages.
