Hudson, Wis. – Baby Abram (Abe) was determined to have a birthday to remember – and arrived on February 29, making him the only Leap Day baby at Hudson Hospital & Clinic this year!
Baby boy Abe made his debut on February 29 – and proud parents McKenzie and Luke Bakkum shared that they’d been hoping to avoid a Leap Day baby!
McKenzie said: “I didn’t want a Leap Year baby due to deciding when his birthday would be in the in-between years, but baby had his mind made up about when he was coming!”
Baby Abe arrived at 3:01 a.m., weighing 6 pounds 10 ounces and measuring 19.5 inches.
McKenzie and Luke said of their care, “Each nurse pays so much attention to detail. ‘Kind and compassionate’ doesn’t begin to explain how they made us feel.”
Congratulations to the family from all of us here at Hudson Hospital & Clinic!
