Healthy crowd attends Hudson Hospital Anniversary Event
Nearly 700 people attended Hudson Hospital & Clinic Anniversary Event – Celebrating a tradition of exceptional care on June 29 showing their support and enthusiasm for the health campus which serves St. Croix Valley communities. The warm, sunny day was welcomed with laughter and smiles as people wandered through over 35 health booths offering education and fun facts about hospital and clinic services. Healthy activities also included: blood pressure checks, free hearing aids, lab microscope viewing, alcohol awareness, rehab therapy exercises, a peak at a HazMat tent, and a tour of the hospital inpatient room. Care partners Hudson Physicians Clinic, St. Croix Orthopaedics, Hudson Hearing Clinic, and Hudson Counseling participated in the event. Rescue stations offered the crowd an opportunity to check out an ambulance from St. Croix EMS & Rescue, watch life-saving demos at HealthPartners Simulation Center, and sit in the Life Link III helicopter.
The event marks historical milestones for the hospital celebrating 10 years on the new campus and 60 years providing health care in this community. It was a family-friendly event filled with music, entertainment, fun and games under the big white tent on campus. Nutrition care staff handed out free fruits and veggies. HealthPartners Petey P. Cup gave lots of high fives and hugs and plenty of plushy toys to all the kids. Music and entertainment was provided by the Teddy Bear Band and Sam Salter Trio Band. Free wellness sessions kept the crowd moving with yoga, tai chi, and zumba. A walk back in time through the hospital’s history room allowed participants a glimpse of the hospital’s rich history in the community.
