Hudson Hospital & Clinic marketing team and Christiansen Creative design firm recently won four state awards in the 2013 Communications Review by the Wisconsin Healthcare Public Relations and Marketing Society (WHPRMS). Winners were announced at the WHPRMS Annual Conference held October 23-25 at The Abbey Resort near Lake Geneva, WI.
The Communications Review is recognized by healthcare professionals in Wisconsin as a program dedicated to honoring excellence and superior accomplishment in the practice of healthcare public relations and marketing. Since its inception in 1971, the annual awards program has recognized outstanding work in the fields of media, marketing, planning, design, writing, advertising and public relations in health care.
This year’s judges were Health Care Communicators from San Diego, California. Judges award high marks for effective planning, strategy, implementation and measurable results. “The WHPRMS Communications Review is widely recognized by healthcare communicators for its quality and credibility,” said WHPRMS President Lori Bruss. “Our membership is to be congratulated for the high quality of work being done on behalf of health care organizations across the state.”
Hudson Hospital marketing won four Awards of Excellence achieving 95-100% overall scores. In the Award of Excellence category, only 10 teams won out of hundreds of entries in various communications categories. “It is a great honor to be recognized by other marketing and communications professionals for the high quality work that we have created.” said Pat Cooksey, Business Development & Marketing Director, Hudson Hospital & Clinic.
Christiansen Creative, local Hudson design firm, provided campaign strategy, development and creative for all of the awards. The award winning entries project manager is Stacy Lenzen, Senior Communications Generalist and strategy oversight by Pat Cooksey, Business Development & Marketing Director. They included: new website design – hudsonhospital.org; Thrive health magazine; and Easy Ideas for Heart Health video featuring Stephen Smalley, MD, HealthPartners Cardiologist. The social media category winning entry Show your love for Hudson Hospital Facebook campaign team included: Christiansen Creative; Gretchen Vandusartz, Communications Generalist; Stacy Lenzen, Senior Communications Generalist and Pat Cooksey, Business Development & Marketing Director.
