Hudson Hospital Foundation received a bench donation from the Hudson Lions Club on Tuesday, October 29. The welcoming bench sits in the hospital front entrance for patients and visitors to wait comfortably for their loved ones.
“Our Lions Club motto is ‘We Serve by Reaching, Touching and Improving Lives,’” says Connie Gonitzke, Hudson Lions Club president. “We are thrilled to provide this comfortable bench to Hudson Hospital.” Lions Clubs International is the world's largest service club organization. Lions Clubs were founded in 1917, and are best known for fighting blindness, but also volunteer for many different kinds of community projects – including caring for the environment, feeding the hungry and aiding seniors and the disabled.
The bench is a Thomas Steele product which meets the Green Standard, environmental sustainability made of recycled products and both durable and low maintenance. Hudson Hospital is a leader in sustainability efforts in the community and within the HealthPartners family of care.
Hudson Hospital Foundation is a nonprofit organization that serves the community by raising funds to support Hudson Hospital & Clinic, as well as other local health-related projects. “We are honored to accept this beautiful bench donation from the Hudson Lions Club,” says Kari Rambo, Hudson Hospital Foundation President.
