Hudson Hospital & Clinic is sustainability champion
For the second time, the Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council has named Hudson Hospital & Clinic as one of its Green Masters 2016. The accolade – announced at the Ninth Annual Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council Conference – recognizes Hudson Hospital & Clinic as one of the top 20 percent of organizations in the state for sustainability practices.
Earlier in 2016, Hudson Hospital received Circle of Excellence status (top 10 performance out of 500 applicants) in the Healthy Food Circle Awards by Practice Greenhealth, as well as the Greenhealth Emerald Award and Greening the Operating Room Recognition Award.
Lakeview Hospital (Stillwater, Minn.) was recently included on the Becker’s Hospital Review list of the 50 Greenest Hospitals in the U.S. Lakeview Hospital was selected for inclusion on the Greenest Hospitals list thanks to its awards, earlier in 2016, from Practice Greenhealth, including: the Greenhealth Emerald Award; Greening the Operating Room Recognition Award; and the Making Medicine Mercury Free Award.
Across the St. Croix Valley:
- Amery Hospital & Clinic (Amery, Wis.) was named as a Practice Greenhealth Partner for Change in 2016 and secured the Green Professional Award from the Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council in 2015 and 2016.
- Westfields Hospital & Clinic (New Richmond, Wis.) earned a Green Masters Award in the Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council program in 2015, as well as a Practice Greenhealth Emerald Award and a Greening the Operating Room Recognition Award from Practice Greenhealth in 2016.
The recognition comes shortly after HealthPartners, the parent organization of all four St. Croix Valley Hospitals, announced it was joining the Health Care Climate Council, becoming the first Minnesota-based organization to do so.
