Marian Furlong, Hudson Hospital & Clinic President & CEO, Announces Retirement
Hudson, Wisc.—After nearly 18 years as president and CEO at Hudson Hospital & Clinic, Marian Furlong has announced that she will retire on October 6, 2017.
Ted Wegleitner, President of Lakeview Health, says, “Marian has been instrumental in guiding and strengthening Hudson Hospital & Clinic’s financial and market position, which has resulted in the organization being a leader in health care delivery in the region. Fifteen years ago, she led a community process to design and build a hospital that has national recognition as a true healing environment and a leader in sustainability.”
Furlong says that being a part of Hudson Hospital & Clinic – and the Hudson community – has been one of the most rewarding experiences of her career. “We have been able to meet the needs of our community as the health care landscape has continued to change, which is something that I’m very proud of. The credit for the organization’s success goes to the committed staff and volunteers who bring their best every day for our patients, and to our patients who trust us with their care.”
Furlong will continue to provide leadership and direction at Hudson Hospital & Clinic during the recruitment for her successor. Says Wegleitner, “Please join me in congratulating Marian on her well-deserved, next chapter. During the next few months, please take a moment to reach out to Marian to wish her well and thank her for her leadership.”
