Osteoarthritis and Joint Replacement
Sunday, July 19, 2009Monday, July 20, 6:30 - 8 p.m.
Join this upcoming seminar presented by William Schneider, MD, St. Croix Orthopaedics. Are you an arthritis sufferer? You are not alone; more than 20 million people in the U.S. have this disease. Osteoarthritis, sometimes called degenerative joint disease, is the most common type of arthritis, especially among older people. Symptoms include pain, swelling, and loss of motion of the joint – most often at the hands, knees, hips or spine. Rheumatoid Arthritis is an aggressive inflammatory form of arthritis, causing deformity, constant pain and disability. Affected areas include knee and hip joints, and patients generally experience prolonged morning stiffness, inflammation and redness. When arthritis or natural wear of joints causes constant pain, it’s definitely time to explore your treatment options. Don’t let your condition keep you from leading an active, healthy, productive life.
Join Dr. Schneider as he discusses arthritis, worn out joints, joint replacement, surgical and minimally invasive surgical procedures. The goal of surgical options is to help you return to many of your activities with less pain and greater freedom of movement.
