HUDSON, WI - Presbyterian Homes & Services invites the public to the Grand Opening of Woodland Hill senior living community on Saturday, October 22 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Woodland Hill is located at 441 Stageline Road in Hudson. The event is free and parking is available onsite. Additional parking is available at nearby DaVita Dialysis and Hudson Hospital & Clinic with shuttle service provided. Guests at the celebration will have an opportunity to meet residents and staff while enjoying a variety of attractions and activities for all ages, including a strolling musician and college football broadcasting on the theater big screen. Harvest time treats and beverages prepared by the Woodland Hill Culinary Team will be served, and guests can enjoy making s’mores at the outdoor fire pit.
Self-guided tours of Woodland Hill will be available. Guests can view model apartments and walk through Town Center, which includes a restaurant-style dining room and bistro, a movie theater, market, club lounge, library, chapel, wellness center and many other amenities and services. DaVita Dialysis Center on campus, and Hudson Hospital & Clinic, located adjacent to the campus, will have informational stations at the celebration.
Residents have been moving into all living options at Woodland Hill since spring 2016. Senior apartments, assisted living apartments and specialty/memory care apartments are still available. All apartments at Woodland Hill are equipped with urgent call systems and feature thoughtfully designed floor plans that accommodate mobility assistance devices such as walkers and wheelchairs.
Elizabeth Stauss, Resident Services Director, has received messages from family members expressing how pleased they are with the care their loved ones are receiving.
Mildred Tichner recently moved to an assisted living apartment. Her daughter, Paulette, wrote to tell how delighted she is with her mother’s new home. “It’s so bright and cheery from the minute you walk into the building. I really think it will be a great fit for my mom,” she wrote.
“The staff is so friendly. I’m impressed with everyone at Woodland Hill and look forward to working with you in the future. This is what our family has been praying for.”
June Lewis lives in specialty/memory care with specialized staff and programs designed for those with memory loss and other special needs.. Her daughter, Linda, appreciates the professional and dedicated service of Woodland Hill staff members who uphold the standard of excellence that is the signature of Presbyterian Homes & Services. Linda wrote, “Nurse Kristen is so professional and such an expert on dementia that [after talking with her] I felt like I was dancing on a cloud. I actually wanted to visit Mom and I enjoyed the visit.” Woodland Hill staff reported to Linda that upon awakening from a nap, June asked, "Am I dreaming? Do I get to stay here?" Linda commented, “Isn't that fabulous that she is so happy? I know she will always have her ups and downs, but I have not seen Mom like this in years,” she wrote.
Unique to Woodland Hill is the DaVita Dialysis Center located on the campus. DaVita offers twelve in-center dialysis stations and two home training rooms, bringing comprehensive kidney care close to home for those living in the Hudson area. Woodland Hill is conveniently located east of Hudson Hospital & Clinic. PHS, DaVita Dialysis, and Hudson Hospital & Clinic are collaborating to offer consistent and complementary care services, including transportation between the campuses, special nutrition and dietary support for dialysis patients and others, wellness education and more.
