Hudson Hospital & Clinics ranks in Top 100 Critical Access Hospitals
The National Rural Health Association recently announced that Hudson Hospital & Clinics ranks in the Top 100 Critical Access Hospitals in America. The Top 100 scored best on the Hospital Strength Index™, in this first-ever comprehensive rating of Critical Access Hospitals.
This Index is an objective way to measure relative performance among hospitals across 56 different performance metrics. It includes a unique set of measures rating Market Strength (competitive strength, intensity, size, growth), Value-based Strength (quality, outcomes, patient perspectives, cost and charge indicators) and Financial Strength (income statement and balance sheet ratios).
The ranking is based on how well the hospital scored on the Hospital Strength Index ™ with our overall strength index placing Hudson in the 63rd percentile. There are 1,300 Critical Access Hospitals in the United States; 59 of those are in Wisconsin.
“To be in the top 100 is indeed an accomplishment that we are very proud to achieve. This recognition is a reflection of the efforts of our staff, medical staff and care partners on their commitment to the Triple Aim and Partners for Better Health Goals 2014. Working together in partnership with each other and our HealthPartners family will help ensure a bright future for Hudson Hospital & Clinics,” says Marian Furlong, President & CEO, Hudson Hospital & Clinics.
