A grateful scholarship recipient letter to Hudson Hospital Foundation:
Dear Ms. Rambo,
I thought you might like to know that your scholarship has paid another dividend. My daughter, Elizabeth (Betsy) Huffman, got your scholarship and has just been notified by a second school that she may attend their medical school. She graduated from UW-Madison this last spring with a B.S. in Biochemistry. She is teaching English to Kindergarteners in Austria this year (she’ll be back in Hudson in June) and then it is off to medical school in the fall.
So far she has been accepted by Loyola (Chicago) and UW-Madison. She has also interviewed at UM-Twin Cities and UM-Duluth. UW-Milwaukee has also expressed interested in interviewing Betsy and another 5 schools have not contacted her yet, but with the schools expressing interest, she is confident that any one of these schools would be a good choice.
Anyway that’s the good news. We all thank the doctors who contributed to the scholarship. In another 4 years or so you’ll have another doctor you can hit up for a donation.
