Life Assist USA
Life Assist is an electronic home monitoring system that works in conjunction with the user’s telephone service. If the user needs help, he or she would simply push a button – worn on a wristband or necklace – to contact the monitoring center for assistance, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Life Assist service is available for a nominal monthly fee. This valuable program is sponsored by Hudson Hospital Foundation.
Life Assist home monitoring offers:
- Affordable monitoring units helped approximately 110 community members live independently
- Units created 24-hour link to the monitoring center for assistance
- Program funded since 1984
- Foundation subsidized monthly equipment fee
- 40 callers needed assistance in the past year

Telecare
Each morning, Telecare participants receive a phone call from a friendly volunteer at Hudson Hospital & Clinics. This free service provides the opportunity to chat with someone who cares, as well as assures that everything is OK. If there is no answer, the volunteer reaches a friend or family member to determine if assistance is needed.
