Hudson Hospital & Clinics

Spiritual Care

Patients and families often find comfort in the guidance of a trained spiritual supporter. Hudson Hospital & Clinics is not affiliated with any one faith and attempts to meet the needs of all religious preferences. A team of volunteer chaplains makes rounds and are available to patients and families by listening, comforting, encouraging, offering prayer and spiritual guidance, whether they are celebrating a birth or dealing with a health crisis or death.

Patients and families can also find resources for spiritual care in the Meditation Room, which holds various inspirational books, including the Bible and non-denominational meditation literature. Spiritual reading materials are also available in the Health Resource Center.

When being admitted to the hospital, patients have the opportunity to list their religion and request that their church pastor be notified for congregational support or visits from their ministry.

Meditation Room

While the health campus is designed with inspiring arts and comforting amenities, the Meditation Room offers a space free of distraction. The room is available for patients and guests seeking a quiet moment to reflect, contemplate a decision, give appreciation or have a private conversation. Reflective reading materials are available. The Meditation Room is located near the Emergency Center.

Other spaces throughout the campus offer a beautiful setting for personal reflection, including the cozy living room of the Winter Garden, and the carefully tended gardens and labyrinth.
