Hudson Hospital's Health Resource Center offers professional education opportunities for physicians, clinical cargivers and emergency response personnel. Most educational opportunities offer continuing medical education (CME) or continuing education unit (CEU) credit or professional certification.

for Health Care Providers
The Basic Life Support Health Care Provider Class teaches CPR skills for helping victims of all ages (including doing ventilation with a barrier device, and a bag-valve mask device); use of an automated external defibrillator (AED); and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (FBAO). The class is intended for participants who provide heath care to patients in a wide variety of settings, including hospital, clinics, emergency responses and more.
Licensed and certified health care providers (physicians, nurses, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, respiratory therapists, physical and occupational therapists, dentists, dental assistants, physician's assistants, residents or fellows, or medical or nursing students in training, aides, medical or nursing assistants, police officers, and other health personnel) will benefit from this class.

Please wear loose, comfortable clothing. You will be
practicing skills that require working on your hands and knees, bending, standing, and lifting. If you have any physical conditions that might prevent these activities, please tell one of the instructors when you arrive for the course. The instructors may be able to adjust the equipment if you have back, knee, or hip problems. If you are uncertain about participating in a CPR class, please call (715) 531-6588. |
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
This class is designed for experienced ACLS providers who wish to renew their certification.
Through the ACLS Renewal, health care providers will enhance their skills in the treatment of the adult victim of cardiac arrest or other cardiopulmonary emergencies and learn to identify resuscitation needs in special circumstances. Basic life support CPR, the integration of basic life support with advanced cardiac life support interventions, and the importance of effective team interaction and communication during resuscitation will be reviewed.
