Dr. Pillai received his medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Minnesota Hospitals in Minneapolis. His cardiology fellowship was done at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Pillai is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine and in the subspecialty of Cardiovascular Disease (Cardiology). He is also a Diplomate (board certified) of the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology. Dr. Pillai's interests and training are focused on nuclear cardiology, valvular heart disease and heart failure management.
