Pulmonology

Dr. Nicholas Benson is a Pulmonologist with special interest in general pulmonary medicine, COPD, asthma, sleep medicine and public health. He worked as a general internist in primary care before becoming a pulmonologist. He graduated from University of Minnesota Medical School in 2001. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Minnesota in 2004, and a Fellowship in Pulmonary Medicine there in 2008. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Internal Medicine - Pulmonary Disease.

Dr. Benson is a native Minnesotan and enjoys traveling all over the world. He is a frequent volunteer as a physician in developing countries, most recently Sierra Leone. He enjoys outdoor activities, including camping and canoeing in the Boundary Waters, running and skiing.
