Make a difference: Become a volunteer at Hudson Hospital & Clinic

Maybe you’ll be a friendly face to welcome patients at the door. Maybe you’ll put your green thumb to work in the garden. There are so many ways to volunteer with us, and each and every one of them has a positive impact on the health and well-being of those around you.

Every volunteer at Hudson Hospital & Clinic helps enhance the healing experience for our patients, their families and the community. When you share your gifts, compassion and energy here, you'll gain new friends, new skills and the reward of knowing you’re truly making a difference.

To volunteer at Hudson Hospital & Clinic, you must:

  • Be at least 16 years old
  • Commit to volunteering for a certain period of time, usually at least six months
  • Complete a brief health screening process that includes a review of your immunizations and a blood draw to test for exposure to tuberculosis. Proof of COVID-19 and FLU Vaccination is required.
  • Criminal background checks are completed if you are 18 years of age or older

After you apply, a volunteer coordinator will contact you to discuss next steps. These might include interviews, a reference check, a brief health screening or a criminal background check.

Patient and Family Advisory Council

Are you a student looking to gain experience in the health care field? Are you raising a young family and find yourself at the clinic or hospital on a regular basis? Please consider this unique opportunity to serve on the Hudson Hospital & Clinic Patient and Family Advisory Council.

The Council is a group that serves as the "voice of the patient" for people who have received health services at Hudson Hospital & Clinic. Current and former patients have valuable knowledge and experience to share with other consumers and service providers. They can contribute unique insights to the campus regarding service developments, changes and policies that help enhance the quality of care we provide and make us a patient-centered hospital and clinic of choice. The Council meets four times a year.
